About the role
Academics is seeking fully qualified primary teachers to meet both short‑term and long‑term supply needs across schools in Portsmouth and the wider Hampshire area. You can choose the amount of work that fits your schedule, from a single day a week to full‑time placements.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver the national curriculum to primary pupils across various year groups.
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with school policies.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with school staff and communicate progress to parents.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Valid DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
- Recent teaching experience within the UK primary sector.
Required skills
- Classroom management.
- Curriculum planning and delivery.
- Assessment and reporting.
