Functional Analyst (Fixed Term) - Digital Exams

About the role

The University Information Services (UIS) of the University of Cambridge is looking for a Grade 7 Functional Analyst to join its Teaching Learning & Assessment (TLA) team. The post is primarily focused on supporting the UIS Digital Exam service and the Inspera platform, and is initially a fixed 2-year position starting as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate functional changes and manage change arising from user support queries and vendor changes
• Support product investigations, testing, configuration, data manipulation, reporting, patching, compliance, policy and procedure, evaluations and audits
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line user support
• Support the evaluation and implementation of new vendor-driven functionality and continuous service improvements
• Liaise with teams outside UIS, including Educational Services and departmental users, as well as stakeholders, portfolio teams and the vendor
• Work alongside the Head of TLA, team lead, operations management, technical specialists and support analysts

Required profile

• Experience with functional application support, change evaluation and management, application testing and investigation, and 2nd/3rd line user support
• Ideal: experience supporting digital education platforms and/or SaaS products from a functional and product viewpoint
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Organised, customer-focused and keen to learn new technologies
