Functional Assessor Nurse – Hybrid

About the role

As a Nurse Functional Assessor you will use your clinical expertise to evaluate how a person’s disability or health condition impacts their daily life. You will work on complex cases that involve both physical and mental health conditions, providing compassionate support while helping customers move forward.

Key responsibilities

• Assess customers’ functional abilities and produce detailed written reports.
• Interpret the effects of chronic pain, mental health issues and other long‑term conditions on everyday activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate assessments.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of assessment tools and best practices.

Required profile

• Valid NMC registration number.
• Minimum 1 year of post‑registration experience in adult or mental health nursing, within or outside the NHS.
• Legal right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer software for report writing.
