Fund Controller – Investment Fund Management

About the role

Our client, a joint venture between a technology solutions business serving the banking and financial sectors and a global alternative investment fund manager, is seeking a Fund Controller in Newcastle upon Tyne. The role is responsible for controlling and reporting fund performance, portfolio valuations and Net Asset Value.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate performance reporting to stakeholders, broken down by asset class, strategy, time bucket and risk attribution.
• Ensure precise valuation of the trading portfolio by continuously assessing against independent pricing data sources.
• Provide Net Asset Value reporting to internal investors and regulators.

Required profile

• 2:1 degree from a top 25 UK university.
• 1‑3 years of experience in product control, valuations, or audit within an investment bank, buy‑side firm or accountancy practice.
• Knowledge of financial products such as bonds, equities and simple derivatives is preferred.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python and Tableau is advantageous.
