Fund Controller – Private Credit (15‑Month Contract)

About the role

This 15‑month contract position supports a leading global alternatives investment manager’s Private Credit Finance team. You will own a portfolio of direct‑lending and private‑credit funds, ensuring smooth fund operations, financial reporting and governance throughout the fund lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of private‑credit fund structures, overseeing operational and financial controls.
• Review quarterly NAVs, financial statements, investor allocations, management fees, carried interest and distribution calculations.
• Produce and supervise quarterly and annual investor reporting.
• Monitor fund liquidity, perform cash forecasting and manage treasury activities.
• Partner with investment teams on fund launches, transactions and capital activity.
• Manage relationships with third‑party administrators, custodians and auditors, ensuring service quality.
• Coordinate annual audits and oversee governance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Prepare board papers and present fund updates to boards and governance committees.
• Analyse fund performance, returns, valuation movements and hedging impacts.
• Serve as a primary contact for internal stakeholders including Portfolio Managers, Investor Relations, Legal, Tax and Compliance.
• Mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or CPA).
• Significant experience in private‑credit or direct‑lending fund accounting.
• Strong technical expertise in fund control and financial reporting.
• Excellent understanding of fund structures, legal documentation and operational processes.
