Fundraising Manager – North East Counties

About the role

The British Heart Foundation is seeking a Fundraising Manager for the North East Counties to turn high‑value opportunities into lasting partnerships that fund vital heart research. You will work across Newcastle, Northumberland, County Durham, Tyne & Wear, Teesside and Sunderland, helping donors and community groups make a real difference.

Key responsibilities

• Inspire first‑time fundraisers and long‑term supporters to take action.
• Build and grow relationships with community groups, businesses and high‑value donors across the region.
• Identify high‑value opportunities and develop them into sustainable partnerships.
• Plan and deliver strategic fundraising activities that drive income growth.
• Provide exceptional supporter experiences and stewardship to keep donors engaged.

Required profile

• Proven track record of meeting income targets and KPIs, including managing high‑value opportunities.
• Experience progressing opportunities through a pipeline to secure income.
• Ability to build partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders, from community groups to corporate organisations.
• Strong planning, prioritisation and multi‑project management skills.
• Commercially minded, self‑motivated and able to inspire others.
