Funeral Attendant – Full & Part‑time Roles

About the role
Join the Co‑op funeral service crew in Woodcote, Greater London, helping families say a dignified goodbye. The role is available on both full‑time and part‑time contracts, with a structured on‑call rota covering evenings and weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Collect the deceased from a range of locations with professionalism and empathy.
- Bear coffins and drive funeral vehicles safely.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, vehicles and facilities.
- Prepare coffins, engrave name plates and ready the deceased for viewings and funerals.
- Enter and update client information in management applications daily.
- Lift, carry and move coffins using safe techniques and handling aids.
Required profile
- Full UK manual driving licence.
- Physical ability to perform manual lifting and moving tasks safely.
- Comfort with direct contact with the deceased, adhering to health and safety standards.
Required skills
- Basic IT competence – confident use of computers, tablets, smartphones, printers and scanners.
