Funeral Trainer – Share Your Expertise

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Funeral Director or Mortuary Technician to join our team as a Funeral Trainer. In this hybrid position you will mentor apprentices, develop personalised learning plans and help shape the next generation of funeral care professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Support apprentices working in funeral care settings, building their skills and confidence.
• Create tailored learning plans that address each apprentice’s individual needs.
• Demonstrate the relevance of functional skills such as maths and English within funeral care.
• Maintain strong relationships with employers and provide regular progress updates.
• Handle administrative duties and plan activities using Google Suite and other systems.
• Travel at least one day per week to visit apprentices in your region, with the remainder of the week working from home.

Required profile

• Current experience as a Funeral Director (experience supporting Embalmers is desirable).
• Level 2 (GCSE) qualification in English and maths, or a willingness to achieve it.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for regional travel.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Suite.
