Further Education Teacher – Special Needs

About the role
Seva Education is seeking a passionate Further Education Teacher to work with pupils who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). You will deliver a broad, balanced curriculum across Key Stages 2, 3, 4 and further education, helping students achieve their full potential.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver well‑structured lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and schemes of work.
- Assess, monitor, record and report on pupil progress, adapting teaching to individual strengths and needs.
- Set high expectations that inspire, motivate and challenge learners.
- Prepare pupils for external assessments and contribute to school‑wide policy development.
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure consistent, excellent learning experiences.
Required profile
- Willingness to undergo child protection screening, DBS checks and Disclosure & Barring Service clearance.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to meet the professional responsibilities set out in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document and the Teachers’ Standards.
- Strong subject and curriculum knowledge across the relevant key stages.
