Garden and Stock Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Garden and Stock Assistant to join our busy commercial horticultural site in Chobham. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Friday 8:00‑16:30 with an early finish on Fridays and free on‑site parking.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the nursery grounds – weeding, cleaning, pruning, watering and general tidying.
• Pick, pack and label plants for customer orders, ensuring accuracy and correct delivery placement.
• Collect order sheets, retrieve plants from beds, clean and prepare them for dispatch.
• Complete discrepancy forms and communicate any quality or quantity issues to the sales team.
• Assist with potting, irrigation checks and stock control, keeping plant batches correctly labelled.
• Trim plants to maintain quality and ensure beds are tidy and weed‑free.

Required profile

• Enjoys working outdoors and is comfortable getting dirty.
• Interest in gardening or previous experience in landscaping or horticulture.
• Attention to detail for accurate picking, labeling and stock handling.
• Ability to work as part of a friendly, hands‑on team in a busy environment.
