Gardener – Historic Estate, Cambridge

About the role

Join a professional grounds team responsible for maintaining one of Cambridge's most prestigious historic estates. As a Gardener you will create and preserve beautiful outdoor spaces, from ornamental gardens to lawns and recreational areas.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain ornamental gardens, beds, borders, lawns and landscaped areas to a high standard.
• Carry out planting, pruning, mulching, staking, watering and weed control.
• Propagate plants from seed, cuttings and plugs.
• Undertake lawn maintenance including mowing, aeration, scarifying and overseeding.
• Operate and maintain horticultural equipment safely.
• Support biodiversity and sustainability projects across the estate.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional gardening or horticultural experience.
• Strong knowledge of ornamental plants, pruning, propagation and lawn care.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
