Gardener

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Gardener to join our award‑winning landscaping contractor on a 100‑acre high‑spec residential site in Reading. This full‑time position involves maintaining beautifully designed private gardens to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out regular maintenance tasks such as pruning, weeding, feeding, seasonal planting and pest/disease control.
• Operate and maintain gardening tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all work is performed safely, respectfully and in line with site standards.
• Collaborate professionally with team members and communicate progress.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of garden maintenance experience, preferably on estates.
• Strong horticultural knowledge and plant identification skills.
• Proactive, reliable, detail‑oriented and physically fit for all‑weather work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Good communication skills and a UK driving licence (preferred).
