Gas Engineer – Domestic Boiler Installation

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Gas Engineer to join our South West Gas Installation team based in Paignton, covering the local and surrounding areas. You will install a range of domestic gas boilers and provide high‑quality service to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Install domestic gas boilers (combi, heat‑only, system) in line with industry standards and regulations.
• Complete job sheets, LGSR certificates and gas safety records on completion.
• Provide clear progress updates and advice to customers, maintaining accurate daily work records.
• Diagnose and repair faults on gas boilers, central heating and unvented hot‑water systems.
• Perform service, maintenance and diagnostics of gas boilers and related systems.
• Use company‑provided iPhone/tablet to log work, schedule jobs and report faults.
• Maintain tools and equipment, replenish stock from partner suppliers.
• Participate in an on‑call rota (approximately 1 in 4‑6 weeks) and receive related allowances.

Required profile

• Qualified to CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, Unvented‑G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS).
• Full compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Ability to work safely and responsibly in a two‑person team.
• Willingness to undertake on‑call duties as scheduled.
