Gas Engineer – Rochester (ME/DA) – £44,600 plus van & fuel card

About the role

The Hyde Group is seeking a Gas Engineer to join its Property Services team in Rochester, covering the ME and DA postcode areas. You will deliver safe and professional gas installation, maintenance and repair services to residents, supported by a company van and fuel card.

Key responsibilities

• Service and repair domestic gas appliances such as boilers and fires.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on gas systems.
• Maintain and monitor stock levels of materials and equipment.
• Participate in out‑of‑hours service rota (approximately one week in five).
• Liaise between residents and internal teams to resolve property‑related issues.
• Report any non‑compliance or process failures to management.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a gas engineer, preferably in domestic or social housing.
• Essential gas safety qualifications: CCN1, CKR1, CENWAT, HTR1.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work on a full‑time basis and attend out‑of‑hours rota.
