Gas & Plumbing Trainer – Trainee, £38k‑£40k, Bristol

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Gas & Plumbing Engineer who wants to transition into a training career. The trainee trainer will join our Bristol centre and, after fully funded qualifications, will deliver apprenticeship programmes to the next generation of engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and practical training for Gas & Plumbing apprentices.
• Assess learner progress against awarding‑body standards.
• Provide hands‑on coaching and technical guidance in the training centre.
• Coordinate the completion of all required qualification elements.
• Maintain accurate records and feedback for each apprentice.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of occupational experience as a Gas & Plumbing Engineer.
• Level 3 Gas & Plumbing qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to obtain trainer and assessor qualifications (fully funded).
• Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check.

Required skills

• Gas & Plumbing system installation and maintenance.
• Gas & Plumbing engineering principles.
• Knowledge of apprenticeship assessment standards.
