Gas Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Gas Technician to join our busy team in Leeds, supporting the maintenance of heating and hot‑water systems across a portfolio of tenanted and vacant properties. The role involves responding to job tickets, working within allocated appointment windows and ensuring all work complies with building regulations and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out all types of repairs on heating and hot‑water systems in accordance with job tickets, specifications and contract drawings.
• Adopt a “Right First Time” approach, aiming to complete repairs in a single visit with high‑quality workmanship.
• Maintain accurate paper or electronic records of work performed, materials used and measurements taken.
• Procure required materials and quantify work as needed.
• Provide courteous, customer‑focused service, protecting tenants’ belongings and cleaning the work area after completion.
• Conduct risk assessments before starting work and follow health, safety and welfare procedures.
• Comply with building regulations, gas safety standards and company codes of conduct.

Required profile

• Experience in repairing residential heating and hot‑water systems.
• Good knowledge of building regulations and gas safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and follow detailed work orders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality, compliant work.
• Customer‑service orientation and ability to communicate politely with tenants.
