Gate Automation Engineer (Midlands)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Gate Automation Engineer to join a leading specialist in gate automation and access control across the Midlands. The role is field‑based, Monday‑to‑Friday, offering a balanced work‑life schedule with no out‑of‑hours call‑outs.

Key responsibilities

• Install new gate automation systems for residential and commercial clients.
• Perform routine servicing, fault finding and safety upgrades on existing installations.
• Carry out retrofit projects and electrical wiring as required.
• Produce detailed customer reports using a tablet while travelling across the Midlands.
• Work independently on larger installations and support the growing customer base.

Required profile

• Proven experience with gate automation systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good understanding of access control or door automation systems.
• Strong communication skills and awareness of health & safety regulations.

Required skills

• Familiarity with manufacturers such as CAME, Roger, Beninca or BFT.
• Welding and electrical installation qualifications.
• Ability to diagnose faults and implement corrective actions.
