Gateman / Site Warden – Darlington

About the role
We are seeking a reliable Gateman to manage site access at a construction site in Darlington. As the first point of contact, you will help keep operations running smoothly and safely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage site access, greet visitors and direct delivery vehicles safely.
- Check delivery notes and ensure only authorised personnel enter the site.
- Sign workers, visitors and deliveries in and out.
- Keep the main gates secure at all times.
- Assist with light site tidying or banking duties near the gate when required.
Required profile
- Valid CSCS card.
- Traffic Marshall / Traffic Banker ticket (preferred).
- Full PPE (boots, hi‑vis, hard hat).
- Previous experience as a Gateman.
- Good communication, reliability and punctuality.
Required skills
What we offer
- Competitive hourly rate of £17 (Umbrella).
- Temporary contract for approximately 5 months.
- Full‑time, onsite role.
