Gateperson / Traffic Marshall – Site Access Control

About the role

This temporary full‑time position is for a Gateperson/Traffic Marshall at a special educational needs (SEN) school in Bramcote, East Midlands. You will be the first point of contact for everyone entering the site, ensuring a safe and secure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the site, allowing only authorised personnel and vehicles.
• Check identification and credentials of individuals and drivers.
• Maintain accurate logs of visitors, deliveries and vehicle movements.
• Direct vehicles to appropriate parking areas and manage traffic flow on‑site.
• Enforce site rules and report any suspicious activity.
• Communicate effectively with staff, contractors and visitors.
• Assist the site manager with any additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Current CSCS card and valid Traffic Marshall ticket.
• DBS check will be required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent communication skills and composure under pressure.
• Basic computer literacy for record‑keeping.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.

Required skills

• CSCS card (construction site safety).
• Traffic Marshall certification.
