Gates and Barrier Engineer

About the role

Our client, a leading national gate automation installer, is expanding its Gate Automation division and is looking for engineers to support installation and maintenance projects across the UK. The role offers a clear progression path and a strong focus on training.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and maintain automated gate and barrier systems for commercial and residential sites.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and control‑system faults on site.
• Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate service records and adhere to health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Experience or training in DHF (Design History File) or familiarity with TS013 standards.
• Solid electrical knowledge; 18th Edition qualification is a plus but not mandatory.
• Willingness to undertake extensive training programmes provided by the employer.
• Ability to work nationwide, travelling to various client locations as required.

Required skills

• Understanding of 18th Edition regulations (preferred)
