About the role
Pearson is seeking a qualified History teacher to work as a full‑time GCE A Level History Examiner (2016 Specification). The role involves marking candidates' responses using the ePEN digital platform from home, ensuring consistency with the official mark scheme.
Key responsibilities
- Mark exam scripts accurately and consistently in line with the pre‑defined mark scheme.
- Submit sample scripts to the Team Leader by designated deadlines.
- Adhere to marking milestones and complete all required administrative tasks.
- Participate in mandatory training sessions between May and June.
Required profile
- At least one academic year of recent teaching experience (within the last 8 years) in History.
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
- Qualified teacher status.
- High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme correctly.
Required skills
- Proficiency with ePEN marking software.
