General Assistant – Cleaning (Part‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a General Assistant – Cleaning to join our vibrant retirement community at The Windings in Helsby, near Frodsham. This part‑time role supports residents by maintaining clean, safe communal spaces and helping with basic hospitality tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Keep communal areas, offices and kitchens clean and tidy to a high standard.
• Carry out all cleaning duties, reporting any faults or hazards promptly.
• Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and ensure equipment is used safely.
• Assist with preparing meals and drinks while respecting residents’ privacy and dignity.

Required profile

• Experience with general cleaning duties (desirable).
• Some experience in a domestic or catering environment.
• Level 2 diploma in housekeeping or catering, or willingness to work towards it.
• Good interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Basic understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
