General Assistant – Customer Service & Facility Support

About the role

GLL is seeking a General Assistant to join the team at Odd Down Sports Ground in Bath. You will play a key part in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the centre’s facilities and events.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a welcoming and professional image for customers and the public.
• Prepare areas and equipment for events, activities and daily use.
• Carry out routine monitoring, basic maintenance and report any faults.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness and proper use of all equipment.
• Support customers during their visit, providing assistance and supervision as needed.
• Promote the facility to retain existing users and attract new participants.

Required profile

• Can‑do attitude with a strong focus on customer service.
• Passion, personality and the ability to work well with people from all walks of life.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices; First Aid at Work certification is desirable.
• Reliability, punctuality, integrity and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Team‑player who values flexibility and responsibility.
