General Manager – 5‑a‑Side Football Centre

About the role

We are seeking a self‑motivated General Manager to lead our client’s 5‑a‑side football complex in Glasgow. You will own the sales and operational performance of the site, driving capacity and revenue while delivering an exceptional experience for players.

Key responsibilities

• Take full control of sales, marketing and day‑to‑day operations of the football centre.
• Manage, train and develop a diverse team including reception staff, referees and ancillary personnel.
• Achieve financial KPIs such as league bookings, standard games, children’s parties, bar takings and overall utilisation.
• Build relationships with customers, team captains, local schools and football coaches to grow repeat business.
• Work flexible hours and provide management cover across all shifts.

Required profile

• Proven experience meeting financial targets in a leisure or sports environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to engage customers and partners.
• Strong organisational and people‑management skills, overseeing staff from reception to referees.
• Background as a General Manager in a multi‑function leisure setting (e.g., bar, restaurant, gym, sports club).
