General Manager for Build‑to‑Rent Community

About the role

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to lead an incredible Build‑to‑Rent community in Manchester. The General Manager will enhance the community by delivering outstanding service and upholding exceptional standards for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the in‑house Community, Leasing, Concierge, Resident Events Management and Maintenance teams.
• Partner with Marketing to shape local leasing strategies, achieve occupancy and revenue goals, and implement campaigns.
• Manage financial performance, prepare budgets, forecast, and conduct regular P&L reviews.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, health & safety policies, and company procedures.
• Oversee tenancy management, including inspections, evictions, and fee collection.
• Drive resident satisfaction through proactive engagement and timely resolution of requests.

Required profile

• Minimum ‘A’/HND level education or equivalent experience in property, hospitality or related fields.
• Proven experience driving leasing performance and managing service‑focused operations.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with a record of building high‑performing teams.
• Strong organisational, numerical and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience using property management software.
• Knowledge of UK Health & Safety policies (IOSH or NEBOSH preferred).
