General Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our fitness club. You will drive sales, service and operational excellence, ensuring every member enjoys an elevated experience while maximising revenue across all streams.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and develop a high‑performing team, providing regular constructive feedback.
• Own membership growth, secondary spend and overall profitability.
• Lead by example on the gym floor and reception to deliver exceptional member experiences.
• Maintain operational processes to the highest standards on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Uphold cleanliness, presentation and safety standards at all times.
• Motivate the team to adopt national campaigns and initiatives.
• Resolve challenges with resilience, agility and a solutions‑driven mindset.
• Oversee compliance with health & safety policies and pool plant operations.

Required profile

• Passion for health, fitness and wellness.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience in the fitness industry.
• Strong leadership with adaptable communication style.
• Member‑first mindset and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Commercial awareness and drive to deliver results.
• Positive, resilient and fearless approach to problem‑solving.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
