General Manager

About the role

Elis UK Limited is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead its Kendal site, responsible for £10.5m in revenue. You will oversee production, logistics, engineering and customer service teams, driving performance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Direct all site functions – production, logistics, engineering, and customer services – to achieve daily excellence.
• Take full P&L ownership, focusing on EBITDA targets and revenue protection.
• Coach, develop and retain staff, fostering a culture of trust and engagement.
• Lead the LEAN agenda, embedding safety, quality and efficiency improvements.
• Align local operations with Elis strategic goals and identify growth opportunities.
• Ensure outstanding customer service throughout integration and ongoing operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading teams in an operational environment.
• Strong commercial awareness with confidence managing budgets, KPIs and performance metrics.
• People‑leadership ability to motivate, engage and develop colleagues.
• Passion for continuous improvement, health & safety, quality and sustainability.
