General Manager - New Gym Opening

About the role

Everlast Gyms is seeking an ambitious General Manager to lead the launch of a brand‑new club in London. You will own the entire opening journey, build a high‑performing team from scratch, and shape the club’s culture and reputation within the local community.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit and develop department heads and specialist roles, creating a leadership team that reflects the brand’s energy and standards.
• Ensure operational readiness across all areas, overseeing presentation, cleanliness, safety and compliance.
• Deliver an exceptional member experience from pre‑sale through opening and beyond.
• Drive membership growth, retention and overall club profitability, meeting ambitious sales targets.
• Build local business relationships and community partnerships to raise brand awareness.
• Use data and performance insights to optimise results and inform decision‑making.
• Lead by example on the gym floor, motivate staff, provide coaching and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a General Manager, Club Manager or in multi‑department leadership within the fitness sector.
• Proven track record recruiting, developing and leading management teams.
• Strong commercial and operational leadership with demonstrated sales growth.
• Ability to create high‑performance cultures and positive workplace environments.
