General Manager – Waste Management & Recycling

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our waste management and recycling operations in Scotland. You will own the full P&L, drive commercial growth and ensure the highest standards of service, compliance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of P&L performance, budgets and overall business delivery.
• Lead operational teams across logistics, service delivery, compliance and customer performance.
• Develop and execute business plans to improve revenue, efficiency and profitability.
• Manage regulatory compliance, health & safety standards and operational performance.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders while driving continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience within waste management, recycling, logistics, transport or environmental services.
• Proven track record of managing a significant P&L and delivering business improvement.
• Strong understanding of transport operations, compliance and regulated environments.
• Commercially focused with the ability to balance growth, service and operational efficiency.
• Confident working autonomously while developing teams and driving long‑term success.

Required skills

• Knowledge of waste management and recycling regulations.
• Experience with health & safety compliance in a regulated environment.
