General Operative – Construction Maintenance

About the role

Ian Williams is seeking a General Operative to join its response maintenance business in Exmouth. The role focuses on external maintenance repairs and offers a chance for someone with a basic construction background to develop new skills on the job.

Key responsibilities

• Assist qualified trade operatives with exterior repairs, including groundworks and roofing.
• Use initiative to meet job targets while maintaining health and safety standards.
• Complete required documentation at each stage of the work.
• Support the team in delivering quality finishes for customers.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Labourer or General Operative in a trade‑based environment.
• Ability to work professionally in customers' homes and public areas.
• Full, current UK driving licence.
