General Operator - Microelectronics

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑focused General Operator to join a high‑performing microelectronics manufacturing team supporting advanced missile systems. The role involves precision soldering and assembly of circuit card components in a cleanroom environment, working primarily under a microscope.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and solder micro‑electronic components under a microscope following detailed manufacturing instructions.
• Support sub‑assembly and certification processes across multiple departments.
• Work with PEC/CCA, looming, plastics, and stores to ensure smooth production flow.
• Maintain compliance with health & safety and ESD protocols.
• Utilise crimping tools, soldering irons, and other fine‑pitch assembly equipment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in microelectronics assembly or fine‑pitch soldering.
• Comfortable working under a microscope for extended periods.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and follow technical layouts and instructions.
• IPC 610 certification preferred.
• Essential ESD training.
• Basic PC and Microsoft Office skills.
