Generative AI Engineer (Python/Java) – Global Markets

About the role

We are looking for a Generative AI Engineer with strong Python and/or Java expertise to help a leading global investment bank embed Generative and Agentic AI across its Global Markets and Operations. The role is hybrid, based in London, and offers a competitive daily rate.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions for enterprise‑wide workflows.
• Build AI frameworks that meet governance, security and regulatory standards.
• Create intelligent automation to boost operational efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to identify high‑value AI use cases.
• Deliver scalable, cloud‑native AI applications focused on measurable business outcomes.
• Contribute to AI strategy, architecture and best‑practice guidelines across the organisation.

Required profile

• Strong development experience with Python and/or Java (C++ a plus).
• Proven track record building Generative AI and Agentic AI applications.
• Experience delivering AI solutions in regulated financial services environments.
• Solid SQL skills and cloud experience with Azure, AWS and/or Snowflake.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version‑control tools such as Git or TeamCity.
• Understanding of AI governance, prompt engineering and LLM frameworks.
