Generator Field Service Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Generator Field Service Engineer to join a leading provider of rental generators across the South East and London region. You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing a fleet of diesel generators, ensuring high levels of reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on diesel generators.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on rental generators efficiently.
• Conduct site surveys to assess customer requirements and maintenance needs.
• Participate in an on‑call rota to provide out‑of‑hours support.
• Maintain health and safety standards, keeping vehicles and work areas clean and organised.
• Adhere to company quality, environmental, energy management and H&S procedures.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Diesel Fitting, Plant Maintenance or a recognised apprenticeship.
• Experience servicing and repairing generators.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
