Generator Service Engineer (Diesel/UPS)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Generator Service Engineer to join a leading specialist in critical power solutions. You will work across the South Coast and into Oxfordshire, providing on‑site service, maintenance and repairs for diesel generators, UPS systems and related power equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair diesel backup generators, UPS units and power supplies.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance visits, typically 2‑3 jobs per day.
• Install and commission power hire sets and other power system components.
• Participate in an on‑call rota with additional pay for night and early‑morning shifts.
• Travel to customer sites across Hampshire, Portsmouth, Chichester, Southampton, Winchester and Oxfordshire, with minimal stay‑away requirements.

Required profile

• Field Service Engineer with proven experience working on generators and power supplies.
• Willingness to travel daily across the designated patch.
• Ability to work on‑call and respond to urgent service requests.
• Commitment to safety and high‑quality workmanship.

What we offer

• Salary £37,000‑£42,000 per year plus OTE up to £90,000 through overtime.
