Geo-Environmental Engineer – Major Residential Development

About the role

We are partnering with an award‑winning multidisciplinary consultancy to hire a Geo‑Environmental Engineer for their Liverpool office. The role starts on a high‑profile 4,000‑unit residential development in South Manchester, then moves into a broader consultancy portfolio across the North West.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise ground investigation and site activities on a major residential development.
• Log ground conditions and oversee on‑site works.
• Prepare factual and interpretative reports.
• Conduct Phase 1 Desk Studies and preliminary risk assessments.
• Support contaminated land and geotechnical assessments.
• Design and manage ground investigations.
• Liaise with contractors, clients and project stakeholders.
• Collaborate with civil, structural and transport planning teams.

Required profile

• 1–4 years’ experience in geo‑environmental, contaminated land or ground‑investigation consultancy.
• Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Proactive attitude with a desire to develop professionally.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
