Geoenvironmental Engineer – Ground Investigation Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Geoenvironmental Engineer to join our ground investigation and site services team in Milton Keynes. You will work on a variety of residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects, delivering contaminated land assessments and comprehensive site investigations from field work through to reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, supervise and manage ground investigation projects, including Phase 1 Preliminary Risk Assessments and Phase 2 Site Investigations.
• Collect and log soil, rock, groundwater and ground‑gas samples in accordance with BS 5930.
• Interpret laboratory results and produce factual and interpretative reports.
• Prepare contaminated‑land risk assessments and recommend appropriate remediation strategies.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and regulatory bodies to ensure safe, on‑time and on‑budget delivery.
• Support junior engineers and contribute to the successful delivery of multiple projects.

Required profile

• Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in geoenvironmental engineering, contaminated land or ground investigation.
• Knowledge of UK contaminated‑land guidance and current legislation.
• Proven ability to supervise site investigations and produce technical reports.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
