Geography Teacher – Full‑time Secondary School

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Geography Teacher to join a mixed Church of England secondary academy in the London Borough of Bexley. The role starts in September and covers Key Stages 3 to 5, providing you with the opportunity to teach a diverse cohort of over 1,000 pupils.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons for KS3, KS4 and KS5.
• Assess student progress, record outcomes and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum and departmental initiatives.
• Participate in whole‑school duties such as pastoral care, staff meetings and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or an overseas equivalent.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Current, enhanced DBS clearance.
• Experience teaching Geography in UK schools (early‑career or experienced).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the Geography curriculum for KS3‑5.
• Effective lesson planning and classroom management.
• Ability to assess and report on student achievement.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
