Geography Teacher – Secondary School (Full‑time)

About the role
We are seeking a passionate Geography Teacher to join a good‑rated secondary school in Harlow. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday, and involves teaching students aged 11‑16 across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will help learners develop a deep understanding of physical and human geography while fostering critical thinking and global awareness.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and differentiate engaging Geography lessons for KS3 and KS4.
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress to ensure strong attainment.
- Promote fieldwork, map skills, data analysis and investigative learning.
- Create an inclusive, stimulating classroom environment where all students can thrive.
- Contribute to the development and review of the Geography curriculum.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- A degree in Geography or a closely related subject.
- Proven experience teaching Geography at secondary level (KS3 & KS4).
- Strong classroom management and organisational abilities.
- Enthusiasm for inspiring students about environmental issues and global challenges.
Required skills
- In‑depth knowledge of physical and human geography.
- Experience delivering curriculum-aligned lessons and assessments.
- Ability to use fieldwork and digital resources to enhance learning.
