Geography Tutor – Flexible Full‑Time Role

About the role

Reeson Education is partnering with a highly rated secondary school in Central London to recruit Geography Tutors for September 2026. The position offers a blend of remote and on‑site work, allowing you to support pupils across key year groups while helping them improve confidence and attainment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one, small‑group (1:2, 1:3) tutoring sessions in Geography.
• Collaborate with school staff to identify students who would benefit from mentoring.
• Develop and agree action plans with pupils, monitoring progress and adjusting strategies.
• Occasionally visit homes to discuss concerns with parents and offer guidance.
• Liaise with teachers, social workers and educational psychologists, making referrals when needed.
• Assist pupils transitioning to secondary education and help boost their self‑esteem.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Geography or a related discipline.
• Passion for working with young people and supporting their academic growth.
• Experience as a mentor, tutor, or teacher in a school or private tuition setting is desirable.
• Willingness to work flexibly, both remotely and on‑site.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of secondary‑level Geography curriculum.
• Effective communication and ability to build rapport with pupils and parents.
• Organisational skills to plan sessions and track progress.
