Geotechnical Data & Project Engineer

About the role

The Geotechnical Data & Project Engineer supports the technical delivery of specialist geotechnical testing services. This role combines advanced in‑situ test data processing, project technical support, site quality oversight, and high‑quality reporting within established data and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Process, analyse and interpret geotechnical data in line with internal standards, quality procedures and client specifications.
• Validate data quality, identify anomalies or risks and support continuous improvement of data workflows.
• Assist the projects team in setting up projects, defining testing scopes, methodologies, data requirements and deliverables.
• Engage with clients to advise on optimal technical approaches and ensure successful fieldwork execution.
• Review ongoing site work for quality, compliance and production efficiency, reporting any technical, quality or safety concerns.
• Produce clear, accurate reports that meet internal quality standards and client expectations.
• Assist with and supervise advanced fieldwork activities, particularly higher‑risk geotechnical testing projects.

Required profile

• Experience in advanced geotechnical fieldwork and data analysis.
• Ability to review site activities for quality, compliance and safety.
• Capability to provide technical advice to clients and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality reports.
