Geotechnical Design Engineer – Bristol

About the role

We are seeking a Geotechnical Design Engineer to join a well‑established, multi‑disciplinary engineering consultancy in Bristol. You will work on a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, rail, building and bridge projects, delivering high‑quality geotechnical solutions from concept through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out site assessments and geotechnical investigations.
• Design foundations, retaining structures and earthworks.
• Perform slope stability analysis and related calculations.
• Collaborate closely with civil and structural engineering teams.
• Contribute to project delivery from concept design to final handover.

Required profile

• Experience as a Geotechnical Design Engineer or in a similar geotechnical role.
• Knowledge of geotechnical analysis and design principles.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Full UK driving licence, access to transport and right to work in the UK.
• Residence within a commutable distance to the Bristol office.
