Geotechnical Engineer – Cambridge

About the role

A respected multi‑disciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join its Cambridge team. You will work across civil, structural, environmental and infrastructure projects, delivering high‑quality solutions for a range of sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake ground and site investigations, including intrusive works and sampling.
• Complete Phase 1 desk studies, due‑diligence assessments and contaminated land investigations.
• Carry out geotechnical and geo‑environmental analyses, such as soil, groundwater and gas risk assessments.
• Produce clear, accurate factual and interpretative reports for clients and project teams.
• Support design and consultancy work related to foundations, remediation and site development.
• Collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines to deliver integrated project solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Geology, Geoscience, Environmental Science/Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in geotechnical or geo‑environmental engineering, including site investigation and report writing.
• Residence in or near Cambridge.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Valid UK driving licence.
