Geotechnical Engineer – Leeds

About the role

Our client, a well‑established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join its growing Leeds office. You will work on a varied portfolio of residential, commercial, infrastructure and industrial projects, taking assignments from site investigation through to detailed design.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and supervise ground investigations.
• Log soil and rock samples to current standards.
• Produce factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
• Carry out geotechnical analysis and provide foundation recommendations.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and design teams.
• Assist with slope stability, retaining wall and foundation design.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Required profile

• Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• Experience within a UK geotechnical consultancy.
• Knowledge of UK ground investigation practices.
• Experience producing geotechnical reports.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
