Giving Manager, Cambridge Conservation Initiative (Fixed Term)

About the role

Cambridge Conservation Initiative (CCI) is a collaboration of leading conservation organisations and University of Cambridge departments, and is seeking an experienced fundraising professional to lead its giving strategy. The role helps grow and diversify philanthropic income through public and non-major-gift fundraising, and works closely with CCI colleagues, Cambridge Judge Business School, the University's Development and Alumni Relations Office and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of the giving strategy for a special programme, translating strategic priorities into annual fundraising plans.
• Identify opportunities to enhance donor engagement and ensure fundraising contributes to the organisation's objectives.
• Oversee donor stewardship, impact reporting, fundraising operations, gift administration processes and donor insight activities.
• Line manage the Gifts & Finance Coordinator and lead continuous improvements to fundraising systems, processes and reporting frameworks.

Required profile

• Experience developing and delivering fundraising programmes, including strategy, donor stewardship, reporting, gift operations and donor insight.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines, with strong organisational and planning skills.
• Experience working across organisational boundaries and building relationships with stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse information, identify improvements, exercise sound judgement and contribute to strategic decisions.
