Global Category Leader, Travel & Expenses

About the role

GSK is seeking a Global Category Leader for Travel & Expenses to shape and execute the worldwide sourcing strategy for travel services, booking tools, corporate card programmes and expense management. Reporting into the procurement function, you will balance cost, service quality, risk and sustainability while supporting GSK’s mission to improve health worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a global category strategy for travel and expenses, covering all related services and tools.
• Lead supplier selection, contract negotiation and ongoing governance to ensure value and consistent service.
• Use data and analytics to identify savings, improve compliance and enhance traveller experience.
• Drive change initiatives, introducing new tools, processes or commercial models across regions.
• Coach and influence cross‑functional teams and regional procurement partners for smooth delivery and adoption.
• Monitor and report category performance, savings and non‑financial benefits such as traveller wellbeing and carbon reduction.
• Support digital transformation of travel and expense processes, including integration with finance systems and data platforms.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent experience in procurement or a related discipline.
• Proven experience leading global sourcing or category management, preferably in travel, expenses or related services.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to use data to drive decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence and coach cross‑functional teams across multiple regions.
