Global Category Manager, Marketing

About the role

The Global Category Manager, Marketing is a single‑contributor, delivery‑focused position responsible for sourcing, negotiating and contracting across the global Marketing category. The role is remote with occasional meetings in Watford and requires a self‑starting procurement professional who can work independently in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing activities for Marketing sub‑categories such as agencies, media, digital, brand, production and events.
• Run sourcing events, including RFP creation, supplier evaluation, selection and award.
• Own commercial negotiations to achieve cost, risk and value outcomes.
• Draft, review and negotiate Marketing contracts, including MSAs, SOWs and amendments.
• Ensure contracts are clearly communicated and consistently applied across the business.
• Build effective relationships with senior Marketing and business stakeholders.
• Provide pragmatic commercial advice and challenge where required.
• Support management of key Marketing suppliers, address performance issues and identify contractual risks.
• Coordinate with regional or GBS procurement resources as needed.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Procurement or Strategic Sourcing.
• Strong, demonstrable Marketing category experience (agency, media, digital, brand, production, events).
• Experience drafting and negotiating Marketing contracts is essential.
• Background in MedTech, Pharma or other regulated environments is strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Expertise in drafting and negotiating Marketing contracts (MSAs, SOWs, amendments).
• Proficiency in running RFP processes and supplier evaluations.
• Ability to translate business requirements into sourcing and contracting actions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
