Global Financial Controller

About the role

The Global Financial Controller will lead Sinclair’s worldwide accounting, financial control, statutory reporting, consolidation and audit activities. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures the integrity of financial information, compliance with accounting standards and the implementation of robust financial controls across all legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce group accounting policies, technical accounting guidance and financial control frameworks.
• Oversee monthly consolidation, quarterly and year‑end reporting, and shareholder reporting.
• Lead annual statutory reporting, coordinate external audits and ensure audit readiness throughout the year.
• Develop and maintain financial controls, accounting governance, balance‑sheet review and risk‑compliance processes.
• Provide expertise on IFRS, revenue recognition, inventory, manufacturing, inter‑company, FX, acquisition/divestment and transfer‑pricing accounting.
• Partner with tax advisers, treasury and local finance teams on corporate tax compliance and cash‑management controls.
• Act as Finance Lead for ERP transformation, supporting SAP S/4HANA implementation, chart‑of‑accounts redesign and finance‑process standardisation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing finance on inventory valuation, standard costing and variance analysis.

Required profile

• Proven leadership in global finance functions with responsibility for accounting, consolidation and audit.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience driving finance transformation projects, especially SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP implementations.
• Strong track record of building and maintaining financial controls and governance frameworks.
