Global Head of Data – Enterprise PE‑Backed Business

About the role

We are seeking a Global Head of Data to lead data strategy for a fast‑growing, private‑equity backed enterprise. The role will be based in London (or Birmingham) with a hybrid working model, reporting directly to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own a global data strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Scale and lead distributed data teams across multiple regions.
• Transform data into actionable insights through advanced analytics, visualisation and AI‑enhanced reporting.
• Partner with AI and Digital leaders to prioritise data readiness for high‑value AI use cases.
• Ensure data platforms, quality and governance support agentic AI and automation.
• Establish principles for data ownership, interoperability, reuse and commercial value creation.

Required profile

• Proven experience scaling global data teams in complex enterprise environments.
• Track record delivering measurable business outcomes through data and analytics strategies.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, capable of influencing at Executive and Board level.
• Experience navigating large matrixed organisations and complex stakeholder landscapes.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of modern data ecosystems, integration patterns and data engineering practices.
• Expertise in data governance, data quality and platform architecture.
• Experience with AI‑enabled analytics and advanced automation.
