Global Infrastructure Lead – 6 Month Fixed-Term

About the role

We are seeking a Global Infrastructure Lead to join a leading professional services organisation on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. You will shape and drive the global infrastructure strategy, ensuring secure, resilient and modern technology platforms across a complex international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver the global infrastructure strategy covering Cloud Engineering, Identity & Access Management, Server & Compute, and Collaboration technologies.
• Lead global infrastructure operations to maintain security, resilience, scalability and high availability.
• Drive cloud‑first initiatives, automation, Infrastructure as Code and platform standardisation.
• Manage and develop Regional Infrastructure Managers, providing strategic direction.
• Own infrastructure governance, KPIs, SLAs and continual service improvement.
• Oversee strategic vendor and managed service provider relationships.
• Partner with Architecture, Security and Technology teams on large‑scale transformation programmes.
• Act as senior escalation point for critical incidents and operational risk.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading global enterprise infrastructure teams in a multi‑site organisation.
• Strong background in Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365), servers, storage, networking and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience defining infrastructure strategy, roadmaps and delivering cloud transformation.
• Deep understanding of ITIL principles, infrastructure governance and service management.
• Excellent stakeholder management with senior leadership and third‑party vendors.
