Global Process Owner – Order to Cash (O2C)

About the role

The Global Process Owner (GPO) for Order‑to‑Cash (O2C) will lead the design, governance and continuous improvement of the end‑to‑end O2C process across a global business services group. Working in a hybrid setting from Reading, the role is an 18‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Own and govern the global O2C process, covering onboarding, billing, collections, cash application, credit management and dispute resolution.
• Define global standards, controls, policies and KPIs to ensure consistency across regions and business units.
• Lead relationships with outsourced O2C service providers, managing performance against SLAs and driving continuous improvement.
• Identify and deliver automation, simplification and optimisation opportunities, supporting ERP and finance transformation programmes.
• Partner with Finance, Sales, Commercial Operations, Customer Success, Legal and Technology teams to influence senior stakeholders.
• Monitor and improve metrics such as DSO, collections effectiveness, billing accuracy and cash application while ensuring robust controls and data integrity.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading global Order‑to‑Cash processes in a complex, international organisation.
• Strong BPO/vendor management experience with a track record of delivering process transformation and automation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Background in media, technology, SaaS or subscription‑based businesses is advantageous.
